Snow Days!

This was the first 2 snow days.  We had about 10 inches of powder snow.  It was cold and not much fun to play in.
This was the super sticky snow from this week that brought another 2 snow days and about a foot of snow.  It was a beautiful winter wonderland, and we didn't lose power.  Nothing but fun!

Super tall snow man!  He fell over after just a day, but we have a bet about when he is going to melt.  Ollie says March 1st (Sorry, O, you are going to lose).   Wes says mid-March and I say the end.  It will be awhile.

We painted our castle with snow paint (food coloring in a squirt bottle).  It turned out pink but fabulous!  Lo also spent the day with us and played in the snow!  Penny loves Lolo - Lo is her new favorite word.

Super Ollie

 Ollie created this costume himself.
Here we tried to perform some special effects that they use in Ollie's favorite show - the 1960/70's live action Batman.  As you can see, Super Ollie is climbing a rope up the side of a wall, right?

Spinosaurus

Ollie is an artist.  Here is his rendition of a spinosaurus - his favorite type of dinosaur.

Big Brother's Shoes

Penny found this old pair of brother's shoes and wanted to wear them.  She loves to wear other people's stuff.

Penny is One Year Old!

Our girl is offically a one-year-old.  She has grown so much just in the last month.  She suddenly understands English and has about 30-50 words including Ollie (Ahh-dd-ee), ball, teeth (teef), no, yes, eat, and a whole lot more.  She says please for everything, even if we already said no.  The other day, she wanted a cutie orange.  She handed me the orange and said "ball.....out".  Meaning peel this for me, Mom.  She loved JJ's dog Bo, and still sees puppy pictures and says "bo".  She doesn't like baby food anymore and always wants to feed herself.  She is still a Mommy's girl and often throws huge fits when I have to leave for work or just go to the bathroom.  We don't have the kitchen gate up, because she never leaves my side.  She is a bit naughty, and likes to get ahold of things she knows she shouldn't.  Then, she laughs or smiles and runs.  Penny loves to sing and dance.  She loves her family most of all, and we love our Penny-bear.

A boy and a dog

JJ came to visit this week and brought her new puppy, Bo.  He is an eleven week old golden-doodle.  Ollie spend the week playing and walking him.  What a pair!

Penny's 1st Birthday Party

Our darling, Penny, had her first birthday party yesterday at Grammy and PopPop's house.  She loved being the center of attention.  Her favorite presents were by far the electric toothbrush JJ got her and her new lounge chair that Aunt B got her.
The meal included the Penny favorites of mac and cheese, kale chips, tortilla chips, and CAKE.

Penny's toothbrush is her favorite toy, so we had one of my former students make her a toothbrush cake.

Daddy and I tag teamed to make Penny's bunny candle holder (Wes) and mini carrot cake (me).  She loved to play in the icing more than eat it.  More Penny facts coming soon!

Super Penny!
