Super Genius!

This drawing is from a few weeks ago, but it is AMAZING! I am allowed to brag with this picture. Ollie has been drawing circles for awhile. He pretends to draw faces, but the little circles (eyes) don't make it in the big circle or the nose is on the other side of the page. This was his first real face. We have had several since then, but none quite as charming.

One of Ollie's favorite games is pretend to sleep. He pretends to sleep, we cover him up, say good night, sing a song, and turn out the lights. Then he waits 3 seconds and says "awake time". This game is endless. We were playing today, and I was tired, so I asked Ollie if he could cover me up and tell me a nursery rhyme. I was shocked when he did! He recited this one. I hope you can tell what it is. This was only his second time saying it aloud. Hopefully, he knows several more - if we get them on tape we will post them!

Polar Bear

We have been waiting all summer for the polar bear exibit to open at the zoo. It opened this week, and the weather was beautiful today. Ollie LOVED the polar bear so much he didn't want to leave. We stayed and watch him for about 30-40 minutes. Ollie also got to brush goats. They had goats all over the lawn for kids to brush and pet. We ate lunch by the zoo's new baby zebra (born last week). What a perfect day!

Camp Aunt B Sleepover

It was Aunt Beth and Uncle Jeff's 5th anniversary this week. They celebrated it by dropping Lolo off at Camp Aunt B. We had a super fun time! Lots of playing and ice cream. Lotus is such a happy girl. We are so glad that Ollie has a cousin that he is so close to. Lotus really wanted to sleep in his big boy bed, but maybe next time!

Big Boy Room

Ollie is growing up super fast! Here is his big boy room. We took apart the old crib, and GAK (great aunt Kim) let us have Erica's old toddler bed. Ollie thinks it is the best thing ever. He is doing very well with the potty training. We are almost to 100% (not at night of course). It was such a relief to pack up all of his cloth diapers. Now I get to wash tiny undies!
