GHOST TRAIN!

Ollie has been working on his at home behavior via a smile chart. He earns rewards when he has a successful week with minimal whining, no epic fits, and following directions the first time given. He started by wanting small prizes like a trip to the dollar store or a Red Box rental. Then, he saw the Lego Ghost Train. He changed over to wanting money!  After many weeks (almost 2 months) the train is here. It only took him two days to build and now he wants the haunted house. Better get to earning, Ollie!

Pictures from Mimi and PopPop

IThe kids went on a field trip to Ward Parkway to see a cool sculpture can food drive.
My aunt was in town for a bit and here she is playing house with the kids. Notice  how she and Ollie and Penny have matching jammies.
Here is Ollie with a note from his teacher at school. It says - I love your insight.
Cool class quilt made by the kids in O's class. There are only 6 kids!

Aquarium in Tulsa

Ollie spent most of this week with JJ on a big boy vacation. They went to the aquarium as well as had a major Lego-fest at her house.
Feeding the turtles carrots.
Nachos at the concession stand.
Afterwards!  Ollie had a great week that he will remember for years to come.

Button cooking

Buttons for lunch anyone?

Savage Party

Our neighbors are moving back to California in the next few weeks. In order to give them some time to pack, we invited the kids over for Batman night, dinner, and kettle corn.
Dinner was P themed. Pork chops, pineapple, peas, and potatoes.

OK for Valentine's Day

We went to pick up Ollie in Oklahoma last weekend. The weather was amazing. We has another great visit.
Making cookies.  As usual, I have zero pictures of JJ or Popcorn. I swear I will get better about that.
Bo after we left. He ran with me everyday.

Science Night with the Kerrs

Last night we combined our annual trip to my school's Science Night and a play date with the Kerrs. Ollie and Hannah were attached at the hip. I thought O might cry when it was time to say goodbye. It is nice to have friends.
Cool chameleon!
Ollie held a tarantula TWICE!
Penny loves bunnies!

Ollie controls a robot.

Ollie writes to100

PopPop and Ollie were on a mission to write to 100.  It took two days but he did it.

Lego Movie

JJ took Ollie and Penny to see the new Lego movie. Wes got to go, too. This was Penny's first movie in the theater but she fell asleep. Ollie loved it. He is a Lego addict now.

JJ in town

How do you know when grandma is in town?  When you get Mac and cheese for breakfast. I want to be a kid!

Happy Birthday Penny!

Our Penny baby is turning 2 tomorrow. We had our celebration with everyone at Mimi's house today. JJ is in town so it worked out great.
Penny wanted a Miffy and Hello Kitty party. Wes and worked together on the cake. It turned out cute and the inside was strawberry ( pink cake) at Penny's request. Wes also made crazy good Mac and cheese from a recipe Ginny gave us. Penny had two helpings.

Penny got a ton of awesome presents. Her parents also put on their annual puppet show for her. In this year's show, Miffy appeared. Good thing Penny was there to take care of her.
Happy Birthday, sweet girl!  We love you.

Monster Jam Batman

This video sums our Monster Jam experience. Ollie = elated. Lolo = content

Monster Jam

Wes, PopPop, and I took Ollie and Lolo to Monster Truck Jam. We all wore ear plugs and had gritty teeth, but Ollie loved it!  Lo said it was fun.
Before the show.
When the Grave Digger came out, the lights turned red.
We all really enjoyed the Nuclear Cowboys. Look closely at top - there is a motor cross guy upside-down.
