Ollie is 4!!!!

Our little guy turned 4 on Oct. 3rd.  He was unhappy for this photo shoot, but thought it was funny when he said he was five.  Ollie is a very loving, happy boy, and we are so lucky.  He knows almost all his letters and their sounds.  He can write his name, Lolo's name, and almost Penny.  He loves to read, draw, dance, and WATCH TV.  His favorite show right now is Lost in Space (the 1960's sci-fi comedy).  He is still in the 90+ percentiles for height and weight.  His favorite foods are mac and cheese, broccoli, grilled cheese, and anything sweet.  His favorite songs are David Bowie's Major Tom and Life on Mars, and the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour and I am the Walrus.  Ollie got a record player for his birthday (AWESOME).  He had a great birthday party.  Pictures coming soon.

Penny is 8 months

So Penny is way past 8 months, and I could list excuses here, but the honest answer is we are super busy!  Penny is a busy one, too.  These pics were taken the day after she turned 8 months.  She has one tooth and is crawling, crawling, crawling.  Her favorites are brother, food (especially Cheerios), music that has a good beat, moving/wiggling/rolling, and practicing talking.  She had a ear infection and had to take some of the bubble gum medicine - best stuff ever.  She loved every drop.  She has become somewhat of a restless sleeper, but is still a sweet, lovable baby.  Big smoooooches for our Penny Baby.

Baby Chickie

On top of everything else going on around here (Daddy finishing up his huge teaching project, Juniper being born, Ollie's b-day, Penny learning to crawl, etc), I decided to add a little more.  We hatched chicken eggs at my school for science, and I brought one home for the weekend.  Ollie was not sure about holding him, but he loved watching the chick and showing it things.  He decorated the box with "I love chickie".  Penny would have EATEN the chick if I let her.  She pulled up several times on the side of his box to see him.  On Sunday, we invited Miles (Ollie's 3 year old buddy from across the street) over to see the chickie.  Miles was unsure as well, but loved talking to Ollie about him.  We miss chickie already.

Pumpkin Patch Buddies

While Aunt B was in labor, I took the kids on their first field trip to Johnson's Pumpkin Farm with their classes.  It was COLD!  It topped out at 45 degrees and no one was dressed warm enough, but we still had a great time.  Penny and PopPop attended as well.  I did not take more than this picture, because I had Penny strapped to me and Lolo's hands in my pockets.  This is when the kids are getting their instructions.  In between Ollie and Lolo are their 2 best friends, Addie and Treyton.  Ollie has truely bonded to Treyton (which is why he likes school now).  He said to me the other day - "Mommy, I am so glad Treyton is real."
PS - Lolo and Addie look alike, dress alike, talk alike, but Addie doesn't like witches and Lo does!

Juniper is here!

Penny and Ollie have a new cousin, Juniper Kay Blizzard McClure.  We love her SO much.  Her delivery was picture perfect, and in fact, she came out so fast that she is bruised and looks a little purple.  She is pink and rosey now.  Unfortunately, the four of us have colds, so we have not been able to see our Juniper out of the hosipital.  She is so cute!

Ollie's Birthday

Our buddy turned 4 on October the 3rd, and we had a small celebration at the Legends.  He said he was ready for the T-Rex Cafe, but when we got there, he still needs another year.  We did make it in the door this time, but the life size T-Rex that moves and roars is too much for our Ollie.  So we ate at the Yardhouse (our favorite restraunt) instead.  He got his fill of mac and cheese, and we were off to Dave and Buster's arcade for some games before bed.  Ollie gets to have is real b-day party this Sunday when JJ is back in town.  We love our buddy!  Rocker pictures and stats coming soon.
