Green Bean Face

Penny's current favorite is Green Beans and Peas with mint.  She snarfs it down every time.  She is a surprisingly neat eater.  Other food loves include: sweet potatoes with white beans and sucking on a zucchini stick or an apple half.  I hope to get some video of her new love of vocal consonants - babab, gaga, dada.

First Day of School

Ollie has been liking (not yet loving) school this year.  He has some new boys in his class that are his age.  He had a great first 2 weeks.  And yes, we let our son bring a fake hand for his first day of show and tell.

Penny is a half a year!

Our darling Penelope is 6 months old.  She has started eating cereal and veggies.  She seems to like carrots and squash the best.  She can sit up and roll all over the place.  Ollie is still her favorite person.  She will crane her neck or arch her entire body to get the best view of Ollie possible.  She loves to grab at everything.  When she gets something, it goes straight in the mouth.  Penny has no teeth yet, but is always drooling.  What a doll baby!  We call her Pen-Pen, or Penny-bear, but some unnamed relatives call her Penny PooPoo.  Oi!

Trip to the Nelson-Atkins

We went to the art museum for a quick weekend outing.  Ollie and Penny Loved it!  Ollie was unsure about the rules of what to do when looking at art.  (Don't touch it mostly).  He did ask if a bench was art and could he sit on it.  Penny enjoyed the brightly colored stained glass and lunch.

Benben Visit

The Benbens came for a visit last weekend.  We went to the new Sea Life Aquarium for the first time.  Ollie had a wonderful time playing with Lennon and Elizabeth and Lolo, too.  Penny really liked looking at the fish!  We wish they didn't live all the way in St. Louis, so we could play more.

Picture Time

Last week, we had the kids pictures taken.  I was expecting a crying baby and a wiggly buddy.  We were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience.  Ollie even said - well, that was fun - when we were finished.  Maybe I am biased, but those are some cute kids.
