Earth Day Celebration

We met the Kerrs at Shawnee Mission East for the annual Earth Day Fair. The kids got to do crafts. We made balloon braclets from a balloon artist who kept all her scraps of balloon for the fair.
She had some interesting facts about helium and balloon releases.
Paper hat crafts.
Stuff rodent and Penny.
Cool repurposed cardboard play-art.
Ollie trying out karate. I wish I could get him to try a class. I think he'd really like all the kicking, punching, and bowing.

Hannah Sleep Over

We started off at the park by my school. Hannah had no trouble coming with us.
Then we went to a video store (yes, there is one left in Merriam). The kids chose Rio.
We got a pizza and headed home.
The kids picnicked on the trampoline.
We filled the trampoline with ball pit balls. The kids jumped and jumped. Then, we had Popsicles and started Rio. It lasted about 15 minutes. All three kids agreed this movie was not for them. So we changed to Monsters, Inc.  Everyone was much happier.
Side note: Ollie is very used to being naked in front of Lolo. When I suggested that they get their jammies on, Ollie took his clothes off. I wish I could have video taped Hannah's face. Sorry, Kerrs, you might have to have a chat with Hannah about boys. I forget rules are different when you only have one gender.  I talked with Ollie about nakedness around our friends.  Too funny!

Penny and Charlie

My friend and co-worker, Mel, sent me this great photo of Penny and Mel's son, Charlie.  Penny and Charlie are only 2 days apart.  Mel and her family moved away in December :-( so it is nice to touch base.  This was taken about a year ago.  Pen has grown so much.  She is trying to steal Charlie's blueberries.

Jabba Set

Ollie has been working hard to earn money. He sold a lot of old toys at the Kids Closet sale. He made half of the money for this set there. Way to go, O!

Mimi's Quilt Show

Mimi has one of her quilts in the Modern Quilt Guild Show this weekend. Her and I are both members, but I have never finished a quilt.
Hers is one of the only hand quilted pieces. It is really cool to see her work appreciated by more than just family members. We are proud of Mimi!

Fun Work

Penny and Ollie got some new kitchen stuff and food at a yard sale. We plan to take it to JJ's house, but it needed to be cleaned.
So I made them wash it.
Ollie got distracted by his gloves, but in realty he did most of the work.
