Poor Daddy
After Ollie and I got home from the zoo, we had an urgent message from Wes. He was at the ER with a kidney stone. He had driven himself to the doctor and then driven himself to the hospital. He was in the hospital for 3 days and had surgery to remove the stone. He is not 100% yet, but feeling much better than before his ER trip.
Zoo and a Shoe
Last week, we went with the Kerrs to the zoo. It was a HOT day, but we still had a great time. Ollie and Hannah got to ride in the swanky zoo stroller. It was their own personal hide-out. We also picked up Lolo's shoe from the lost and found - lost on our previous zoo trip in which she lost it on the African swing. There were no zebra bites included - Drats.

Dragon Boats
Today, we went with the Kerrs (see House of Kerrs blog in links for more information) to the Plaza for a fun filled afternoon of Chinese Dragon boat races. Ollie adores Hannah. Before the race they climbed up onto the entertainment stage to dance for the crowd. They had more fun playing with a wet tennis ball they found in a bush together than watching the boat race. Good times!

Blog Backlog 5 - Zoo Crazy
Today, my parents and I took Ollie and Lolo to the zoo. We enjoyed seeing the elephants and the river otters. The main event of the day was our trip across the African section on a swing/lift/gondola. Ollie and I had a great time, but Lolo did NOT like it one bit. In an effort to calm her down, PopPop tried to turn her around to see Ollie, because we were in the swing behind them. Her shoe popped off and fell about 30 feet on to the African savannah. We are certain that a zebra is chewing on it right now. Ollie and I rode the swing back to pick up the wagon, but Lolo will not be riding on it again EVER. After that we had a great time!

Blog Backlog 3 - Fishing
We spent a week in Oklahoma with JJ and Popcorn (Ollie's new name for Grandpa Jeff). We had several attempts at fishing. Ollie had a new Spiderman pole, because the last one ended up at the bottom of the lake. We had the best luck at the Big Blue Whale on Route 66. Popcorn bought 50 crickets for bait. We used everyone - and caught a fish with almost every cricket. Ollie lost interest after about the 15th fish, but his mom had fun!
