Blog Backlog 1 - Lo's B-day

Well, Grammy pointed out that I haven't blogged in 3 weeks, and I felt ashamed. So here begins the series of backlogged blog entries. We start here with Lolo's birthday on June 3rd. We went to Science City and ate a Fritz's. Ollie loved Science City, he really liked a helicopter you can climb through, the dino dig, and the small animal nature center.

Oklahoma Trip

It has almost a month since I updated the blog. We have been BUSY! We have put our house on the market which is much more work than anticipated. Last weekend, we finally made it back to Oklahoma for a short trip. Ollie had fun looking at baby ducks and chicks at Atwoods, seeing the baby goats up the street, and eating all of JJ's yummy food (especially the Fruity Pebbles). Here are somemore highlights:

Ollie's first fishing trip with Grandpa Jeff (new name = Popcorn). This pic was taken right before that Spiderman pole hit the bottom of the lake. Oh well!

Ollie and JJ made butter in her antique butter churn. It took a LONG time.

He played golf with Uncle Dick in the backyard. Strategies: keep you eye on the ball, watch your stance, and have a good grip.

Cooking with JJ. Ollie used the ultimate chopper to make brocolli salad. He loves to help!

Easter Packages

This week, we got Easter packages from Dick and Ginny, Grandma Barb and Grandpa Jerry, and Grandpa Jeff and JJ. Easter toys, a chick Pez dispenser, a bike-riding Easter bunny, grow your own Easter bunny, white chocolate peanut clusters, rice crispy Easter bunnies, jelly beans, and tiny erasers! When we opened JJ's package, Wes asked if Ollie wanted to open a rice crispy egg - Ollie said "let's save those for Christmas". He then tore into the big chocolate rice crispy bunny! Sugar High, Ollie!

Baby Olive and Ollie

Our friends, the Kerrs, had a new baby girl this week. They named her Olive. This was slightly confusing for Ollie, but he met her and fell in love. He had a bunch of fun with Hannah Kerr who just turned two and her dad, Steve (Ollie's favorite Kerr).

Let's Go Fly a Kite

The Easter bunny brought Ollie a Buzz Lightyear kite. He was so excited we went to the park to try it out. It works great! Ollie is a natural. There was another little boy trying to fly his much bigger and nicer Buzz Lightyear kite, but he was not having any luck. Our Buzz soared for quite some time!!

Easter Egg Hunt

We went to Grammy PopPop's to have an early Easter. Ollie and Lolo had a blast finding eggs and opening baskets. Thanks Easter Bunny!
