We had a great Christmas! Ollie was excited the entire day. He loved everything he got and everything Lolo got too. Wes treated the kids to a ride. Now for the post-Christmas blues.

Daddy Jump
Ollie loves to play Jump on Daddy. He can do this for hours, but Wes's arms start to turn to jelly.
Christmas Crafts
Ollie and I got crafty with some cotton balls and construction paper today. The Santa (on right) was made with my help. The Elf (on left) was all Ollie - note the elf ears.

Bass Pro Christmas
This week we went to Bass Pro for our annual Santa sitting. Ollie was a little scared, so he sat on the steps at Santa's feet (you will see the result in our Christmas card). We had fun playing with all the toys they had on display. Ollie shot his first crossbow - nothing says Christmas like hunting game!
Toliet Trama
Dear 15-year-old Ollie,
I am sorry I posted this video on your blog. Your dad and I laughed very hard, but I know you do NOT find it funny now. LOVE YOU!

Union Station and Sid
The whole fam went Union Station to see Sid the Science Kid and eat pancakes. As a double bonus, we got to see the tiny train museum and ride a train, too. We accidently cut in line, because the event was a little disorganized. We publicly appologize to all the people who were cursing us!

Trip to Hutch
Last weekend, we went out to Hutchinson for cousin Erica's birthday. GAK and Vince took us to the Cosmosphere which was REALLY cool. Cousin Chris and his future wife, Terica, ask Ollie to be a ring bearer at their wedding. Ollie is unsure about weddings, but once he sees Erica everything will be great! Thanks for the great weekend!

School Pictures
Here are 2 of Ollie's school pictures. We liked all the pictures he took and ordered the cd. We will send out some copies to everyone asap. Check out his pictures for spring 2010. He is a little happier this time!
St. Louis Trip
Aunt B, Lolo, Ollie and I went to St. Louis to visit our friends the Benbens. Their son, Lennon, is 6 and their daughter, Elizabeth, is almost 3, so they make perfect playmates. We went to the Magic House - which was the coolest science-based kids museum I have ever been to. Leslie bought the kids matching outfits which Ollie adores, because he gets to dress like Lennon.

Trick or Treat Trail
Today, we met Lolo and Uncle Jeff at Matt Ross Community Center (our pool) for the Trick or Treat Trail. Last year, we attended and had a bunch of fun. This year it was PACKED. We had to wait in line just to get in the door. Ollie the Spider still had fun and even won the candy cake walk. We are extremely excited for trick-or-treating with Lolo (who is Foofa) tomorrow.

Pumpkin Patch Year 3
Ollie went to the Schaake's Pumpkin Patch outside Lawrence last weekend. Lolo and her parents met us there. It was VERY windy, but we had a great time even with dirt in our teeth. Ollie got to shoot pumpkins in a slingshot and drink apple slush. We picked out a small apple shaped squash yet to be carved. Fall fun!
Hannah and Olive
Hannah and Olive Kerr came over last week to try out the new trampoline. They loved it, but Olive liked the sandbox best. Ollie adores the Kerr girls. At a recent trip to the park, I told him he needed to be friendly to a little boy that was playing. He said "why I already have Hannah."

Trampoline Bliss!
We had a sushi/trampoline party today with Uncle Jeff/Lolo and GrammyPopPop. We needed help putting the trampoline together - there is no way Wes and I could have done it alone. The kids love it! Even PopPop got in on the action.
Baby Girl!!
Here is our sonogram last Wednesday! We thrilled but not truly surprised, because I have been so sick! Anyone need any boy clothes?
Gymnastics
Ollie and Lolo have been training at the Shawnee Mission Athletic Center every Saturday morning. Their routine includes pretending to rub peanut butter on their legs, walking like bears, jumping over pretend logs, and front rolls. Very rigorous!

Ollie turns 3!
Ollie turned 3 on Monday! We celebrated last weekend in Oklahoma. He has grown so much in the last year. His vocabulary is amazing - Wes swears he used the word "solitary" correctly in a sentence. He has become OBSESSED with Halloween, but he chose to have a train birthday. Everyone (but his parents) took him to a restaurant called Ollie's Station in Tulsa. What could be more perfect!? He got some amazing gifts including a cool tricycle, a trampoline, a ton of Little Einsteins stuff, a remote control spider that walks up walls, and (the favorite) a stomp rocket. He asked me today "when we are writing thank you notes?" - we have been reading Clifford's Manners. I guess I had better get on that! Wes and I just adore our Ollie!

Great Grandpa Leonard
Ollie's Great Grandpa Leonard passed away on August 27th. It's been a hard time for everyone, but we're so thankful that Ollie had the chance to know him. During summer 2010 Wes was looking for work, and Grandma and Grandpa Wedman were kind enough to let him come down to Danville to help with harvest. Wes feels very grateful that he was able to spend that time with his Grandpa, learning about life on the farm. Grandpa was a good man, a hard worker, and a great storyteller. That's what we'll remember most.
